Praveen kandregula's cinema Bandi. It's just a small, charming little film. Now I'm going to begin by talking
about the subtext. On the one side, you have a village where there are the usual problems associated
with Indian villages, right? For example, there are no rains. There is no water supply for consistent
agriculture. And on the other side, you have the fantasy world of cinema where rains are available for
something as frivolous as a rain dance, where, you know, you have the dance and you have like pipes
and hoses and showers that are showering rain on all these people. When there are villages that are
going dry, what if these two worlds came together? That is the village with no rains and this fantasy
world where everything's available. And the plot kicks off.

When an auto driver named Veerababu (Vikas Vasistha) , he gets camera a big camera, big, fancy, expensive camera left
behind by somebody in his auto. He looks at it and then he decides that he's going to make a movie and
we'll get to the second subtext of this film, which has made clear in a scene that plays out on television.
When an announcer says that indie movies are making it big at the box office right now, because of the
changing tastes of the audience. Actually, if you look at the producers of the sun, Raj and DK, they
themselves are with this film entering the indie film space. And what is the idea of an indie film? It's that
anybody can make a film, right? Why not? An auto-driver named Veera babu (Vikas Vasistha)  and we get into a comedy
drama along the lines of harish chandachi factory, which detailed the story of dada said valky's attempts to make
India's first full length feature film here.

Veera babu was trying to make that village's first full length feature film. So  Veera babu has to find a
hero. He has to find a hero in whether they can act or not as a secondary question. he has to use an
auto for tracking shots. He has to use a bullock cart for crane shots and the midst of all this comedy.
There's a tinge of pathways because if he calls it Veera babu, who says he wants to people to act in this
movie, those two guys says, well, if we act in this movie, then we lose our daily wages for today. This mix
is handled really well by the director writers. And I think the only real problem that I had with cinema
Avanti is that it does not have enough conflict. Everybody is too sweet, too nice, too pleasant. Even the
person who's camera who owns the camera that these people are using to shoot the movie.

That's a woman. That's an indie filmmaker as well, because she's saved up for five years in order to buy
that camera, which like in a big production, it be given to them like that she has saved up for so long.
And even she, after some initial tension gets along with the program and decides to help everyone. But
the lack of conflict doesn't mean that the other charms aren't there, I would say that this is a pleasant
little film about movie-making and it's low-key charm is its own reward. That's a for cinema Bandi.

Nizhal the malayalam film directed by Appu N. Bhattathiri and starting Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, . Now this is a film that didn't work from his life from the first scene where we see this horrific accident and this horrific CGI bird, the first scene has this accident that makes us suggest that konjac a woman character, he's a judge, that he has a temper, but he is the sweetest person. You keep wanting to pinch his cheeks. The rest of the film is like that.

It keeps introducing new things that keeps introducing PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) character who sees rains that nobody else sees that are supernatural elements.

There is a mask that a character batman like mask that a character who has had an accident is using, there is childhood trauma. There's a character who has had a kind of love failure in college and has never come out of it and then therefore has never gotten married and there's a whole bunch of stuff about the subconscious and all of this just does not come together convincingly.

Now the central mystery is very interesting. It's about a little boy who somehow in the middle of his class when all the other kids are writing little cute stories about cats and other things. He comes up with this elaborate murder mystery and it turns out to be a real life murder. Now, how does this little boy whose mother is played by nayanthara? How does this boy know about this murder? That's the central mystery that Kunchacko Boban goes out to solve. But the answer when it arrives is so unconvincing.

Even the lead up to the answer, which is a scene that involves nayanthara and her little son in bed. It's built up like a huge scene. There is very big music and Kunchacko Boban eyes wide and an absolute horror and he apparently sees something shocking. But we the audience don't feel that shock at all. And even the ending is kind of underwhelming because it has done through a brand new character kind of comes out of nowhere and he's not been led up to the screenplay at all. I like one scene that really worked for me where one of the murdered men.

this woman who was supposed to marry him all those years ago. There is a suggestion it's not a spoiler because the scene, like most of the scenes in this movie kind of exists on its own. She kind of suggests that this man who got murdered, he himself may be talking from beyond the grave. Which kind of I wish we had seen that film. Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in fine form. But Nizhal is an example. Another example that stars alone cannot make a movie.

one of the biggest debates around the pandemic has been when the big stars from bollywood are going to release their movies the truth of the matter is that while bollywood has not really taken the risk of releasing their big films in theaters with the restrictions of limited occupancy the tamil and telugu film stars have not only taken the plunge of releasing their starlight films in theaters but have also experienced massive box office numbers star-led films like vakil saab karnan and master have done exorbitant business despite their dire circumstances globally and even medium-sized projects like upenna have done considerable business financially somehow stars in the hindi film and dusty have not been able to take such a plunge and audiences have just been waiting for their announcements and well a new development took place as salman khan's much awaited radhe scheduled to release on 13th may simultaneously releasing in theaters as well as digital on the zeplex platform the trailer was something that a lot of people were looking forward to but i would be lying to you if i confess that i liked anything about it why do i have such a disdain for this trailer why do i think that it belongs to the catalogue of movies 10 to 12 years ago why am i frustrated with the fact that this is just another edition of a commercial bollywood movie that just borrows from products that are already successful radhe is the official remake of the 2017 korean film

the outlaws based on a real incident the film focuses on a detective that intervenes to control the turf fort taking place between chinese and korean gangs the film received several accolades and was celebrated by the audience when it came out the attempt by the makers of radhe is to extend the world of wanted which was already a remake of mahesh babu's pokhiri with the main character radhe aka ips raj veer sheikh khawat with a new mission at hand i mean you can't even pretend it's like the carbon copy of the film i mean randy buddha's style of the antagonist is almost identical the only difference being that we are transported from seoul to mumbai and we revisited our radhe flannels again what makes me skeptical of some salman khan movies is that sometimes you can clearly tell in his movies whether he's making a conscious effort to prove himself as a performer or he just lands up on set and lazily goes through his lines only to get a day's work over with you see the contrast of energy between a role like bajrangi bhaijan and race 3 and you realize sometimes salman simply doesn't care about how his performance is going to be perceived through several shots of the radhe trailer i was getting flashbacks of salman in race 3 as he were the deadpan expression executed some of the most cringy dialogues you know all of you might attest to this but there was a time especially between 2009 and 2014 where mindless commercial comedies were really successful these movies did not in any way contribute to compelling cinema or anything profound artistically but still grabbed huge amounts in the box office during this period even prabhudeva made a name for himself as a director in hindi cinema from

wanted rowdy rathor and raj kumar prabhu deva had in many ways created a name for himself of what to expect in theaters when you were going for his movies loud action comedies with just thumping dance numbers but as the years have passed by prabhudeva as a creator has only deteriorated with the quality of the films that he has directed action jackson probably being the worst of his filmography he disappointed audiences further with ventures such as seeing his bling and the deplorable debunk 3. it definitely seems to be the treatment of the creator has slowly become dated and something that audiences are not connecting with i mean if you really want to dissect the trailer of radhe just listen to the dialogues usually the trailer of the film has one punch line that stays with you and it develops more curiosity within you or what to expect in theaters i mean you look at average star-led movies like kabil and race as well even the trailers had dialogues that packed the punch i mean i will never forget how many times i repeated it from the original debunked trailer but radhe has dialogues that make you squeal more than anything else i don't know anyone who found this funny i mean there's even a call back to our wanted dialogue of igbo germanic commitment kardi i mean couldn't we do a more creative punchline after 11 years you know what was my biggest pet peeve about the trailer when i heard the dj song ct mark play if bollywood remixing or remaking vintage hindi music was already not enough now they are borrowing from commercial telugu cinema as well for anyone living under a rock aloo arjun is probably one of the most impressive dancers we have in the country today i think in the same league as rita groshan and shahid kapoor and junior ntr as well comes to that same league his performance in a song like top lassie podi will tell you about how crazy of a performer he is ct mar also similarly has an intricate choreography performed with such ease by aloo arjun and i can say this without a shadow of a doubt that the hindi remake will not even come close to the original i don't even know why the hindi creators would try to take a risk with such a song i mean imagine sunny they all did a comeback movie and they remixed the doom 2 song for his entry you think he'll ever come close to ethics original i think it's hilarious that they think so i think i will stand by the fact that randeep huda is one of the most talented actors in the hindi film industry and who has been very unlucky and try to make a name for himself as a leading man in films the dude killed it in a film like extraction and also it is a known fact on how salman khan consciously takes the decision of working with the talent like him a little known fact for all of you is that salman actually has been a huge supporting force for randy buddha's life something that huda himself has confessed to in interviews it will be exciting to see him in this film as i believe he is just a very exciting talent to witness while the 27 year age gap between disha patney and salman khan will be quite uncomfortable to witness and i will always be aisha op from wanted i'm sure disha's role will not extend further than just being radhe's romantic interest the current dire situation that we are experiencing as a country i really don't know that there will be a possibility of an audience stepping into a theater right now the priorities of the indian population have shifted considerably towards individual care and well-being especially in the month of april i know what salman khan is an actor provides he provides a sense of escapism from all the worries and horrible circumstances in our real lives but is the indian audience over this old packaged material the salman khan on an otd platform still carry the same punch is the indian audience still going to be mesmerized just by the star presence over what the film has to offer what do you guys think
